On October 8, 2014, Vivit will be hosting a one day Mobility Virtual Summit. You are invited to engage with Vivit members’ worldwide, HP software and channel partners during a one day virtual summit where we will explore more about Mobility.
Join HP Chief Technologist and Futurist, Marc Wilkinson, for a conversation on how mobility is challenging technology professionals to be more creative and innovative than ever before. In addition, there will be a “Birds of a Feather” panel discussion led by Seth Pickett, HP Executive Director and G2M mobility and workplace guru. Speakers will share some best practices, case studies and valuable outcomes.

Vivit is recognizing the outstanding contributions of its members from the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions. Please take a moment to nominate a volunteer for any or all of the awards by Friday, October 17, 2014. Get the word out to your Chapter/SIG members and encourage them to nominate a Vivit member for outstanding contribution to the community!

VIVIT Membership Advocacy Survey
Our Vivit Membership Committee is working on a Vivit survey called the "Vivit Membership Advocacy Survey". Now we are seeking some help creating a wish list of features and functionalities that users want to see in HP Software. If you could kindly email Tammy Young, Vivit Board Member - Membership Chair, with your list by Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Once we have all feedback, a survey will be created and sent out to all Vivit members worldwide on September 25, 2014. Your time and input regarding this survey is much appreciated!

Vivit Staff - Update
Congratulations to Stephanie Konkoy, Vivit’s new Engagement Director, and Jill Stefan, Vivit’s new Marketing Director, as the new co-leaders of Vivit Worldwide. Both will be working with the board of directors, staff and members to continue to lead the HP software user community forward. Stephanie has served as the Vivit Americas Chapter and Special Interest Group Liaison and Global Marketing Coordinator since 2011. Jill comes to us with extensive marketing communications, public relations and management experience. They both are looking forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of Vivit and building lasting relationships with Vivit members around the world.
Interview with Vivit Board Member - Laura Walker
Get to know your Vivit Board Members! We would like to introduce them to you in the Leader Updates.This quarter we are featuring Laura Walker, Chapter and Special Interest Group Chair.
- How long have you been a Vivit Member? And when did you become a Vivit Leader/Director?
I have been a Vivit member since 2010, 4 years. The same year I joined I also became a leader. I have been a director for the last 2 years. This will be my third year on the board. - What LUGs/SIGs do you lead?
I have worked with a variety of chapters to host meetings over the last 4 years and am currently most active with Minnesota, Wisconsin, Chicago, and the Service Management SIG. I recently moved to Colorado and hope to get involved with that chapter as well. - Who do you work for and what is your role within that company? How long have you worked there?
I work for an HP Partner, StrataCom, as Director of Business Development. I’ve been with the company for 13 years. - What HP Software do you work with?
StrataCom provides IT consulting around HP’s IT Service Management tools. The software we work with includes HP Service Manager, Asset Manager, Discovery tools, and uCMDB. - What do you like to do for fun?
My hobbies including hiking, skiing, traveling, photography, and scrapbooking. - What are your plans for the Vivit LUGs/SIGs this next year?
I'd like to see more chapter activity in the SIGs and LIGs. I plan to provide chapter meeting ideas, speaker resources, and HP connections who can help find venues and funding to make the meeting planning easier for leaders.
