Transportation during the event

We are excited to be a part of Discover 2016 in London, a busy and vibrant city. Since road traffic can be unpredictable, we recommend using London’s public transport system, the best in the world. The London Underground (the Tube) and DLR (Docklands Light Railway) are the most efficient and cost-effective methods of travel during your stay.
We recommend that you purchase an Oyster Card on arrival in London or use one of the pay-as-you-go options for public transport. This is a more cost-effective option than purchasing tickets for individual journeys. Payment options on public transport are as follows.

  • Oyster Cards (£3.00 card deposit and a recommended £20.00 to cover three days of travel at Discover 2016)
  •
  • Contactless debit or credit cards
  •
  • Apple Pay
  •
  • Android Pay
Clear travel instructions for the journey between event hotels and ExCeL London will be available at your hotel and the venue.

Recommended items to pack

You’ll do a lot of walking while at Discover 2016, and the spread-out venue and busy schedule can tire a body. Consider including these "tradeshow essentials” in your packing list:

  • adhesive bandages
  •
  • business cards
  •
  • antibacterial gel
  •
  • USB flash drive
  •

  • a compact umbrella (in case rumors of rainy London prove true!)

We look forward to seeing you in London at Discover 2016, 29 November – 1 December.
