To blog or to join a forum, that is the question. Which of these do I participate in on the Vivit website? Both!

Any Vivit member can subscribe and post a blog on any Local User Group (LUG) and Special Interest Group (SIG) page, but first must join the group if not already a member.

With blogs, the speaker (poster) is in control of the content, but the blog allows for questions and comments from other group members. Blogs range in content from information about a specific topic to events or feedback (opinion) about a topic or event.

For the LUG and SIG forums, any Vivit member can subscribe, add a new topic or reply to a topic. Forums are a type of social mixer if you will. All forum conversations are usually topic-specific.

To join any Vivit LUG or SIG forum, simply find the LUG and SIG pages you are interested in joining, found in the dropdown menus under “Groups” on the Vivit website, and click on “Blogs” or “Forums” in the right rail menu. Just like the blogs, you must join the group if not already a member.

Subscribing to LUG and SIG Blogs and Forums

Once you have clicked on “Blog” on the LUG or SIG you wish to join, simply click on “Subscribe” as shown below. You can subscribe to any LUG or SIG blog.

From the LUG or SIG page for the forum you would like to join, and once you have clicked on “Forum” in the right rail, just click on “My Subscriptions & Settings” to join the forum.
