Several years back I became a Vivit member because I was curious about how other people used the now Micro Focus tools in their environment. As time progressed and I networked with other users, I started to discover that I wanted to share more. Through various opportunities with Micro Focus and Vivit, I was able to find my voice and my audience. Since then I have spoken at various Micro Focus related conferences to my peers, several Vivit Local User group meetings and a handful of Vivit managed webinars. One of the most difficult things to do is stand up in front of an audience (of any size) and speak, but once I became comfortable, I found that the benefits of speaking far outweighed the fear. Here are a few that I have experienced:

But if you are still terrified of walking on a stage and you are just not there yet, this year Vivit is hosting a new event, Virtual Customer Days. We are looking for people to speak/tell their story about using Micro Focus products. The big difference is the format. The content of sessions is pre-recorded video sessions where you can choose to show yourself or just speak with your keyboard and monitor providing the visuals. Each speaker will be doing a live Q/A video session, but no need to be intimidated, these are fun. This format is no different than talking to your favorite aunt or uncle via facetime, only that it is your colleagues and fellow Vivit member.
