The first Vivit Arizona Local User Group (LUG) event of 2019 was held on the 23rd of January at the Capital Grille in Phoenix. Vivit members representing nine area companies gathered together for a delicious dinner and an evening of networking, sharing best practices and lessons learned using the Micro Focus solutions.
After dinner, Eric Fisher from Micro Focus presented an exciting solution called Robotic Process Automation (RPA). He explained that RPA technology creates digital factories to automate and integrate any repetitive administrative tasks. RPA reduces labor-intensive processes by imitating human effort to complete tasks, thereby boosting the capabilities of companies that perform high-volume transactional processes. Operating non-invasively on the surface (UI layer) without compromising the underlying IT infrastructure, RPA bridges the technology gap between fragmented, semi-structured legacy systems. Also, the RPA solution is based on industry leading products Operations Orchestration (OO) and Unified Functional Testing (UFT). The LUG members were able to see a live demonstration of the solution.
Paul Bratlien from Micro Focus wrapped up the event with a presentation on what is new in UFT 14.51. We all learned that there are a lot of exciting new features in this latest release of the UFT product.
In addition to the great information that was shared, and the wonderful networking that took place over awesome food and drinks, one lucky attendee went home with a door prize. Barrie Sager - TSYS won an Amazon Echo, courtesy of Micro Focus. We look forward to seeing you at our next Vivit Arizona LUG event!
“Great evening last night… the topics and presentations were informative. And timely for some internal discussions. The sidebar discussion with Eric also gave me some insight into a few other areas not related to the evening’s topics.”
