The Vivit Florida LUG (Local User Group) held a very interesting, exciting meeting at The Break Room in Clearwater, FL on Thursday, January 24th, 2019! Coordinated by Vivit Co-leaders Paul Shovlin and Bob Crews and sponsored by Checkpoint Technologies (a Micro Focus ADM Platinum partner), the meeting presenters were Doug Moody (Micro Focus ADM Business Development, Inside Sales Americas), John Falk (Micro Focus Manager – ADM Presales Strategic Services), and Bob Crews (CEO of Checkpoint Technologies and Vivit Community Chair).

Bob presented an overview of Vivit highlighting its mission and the many benefits of being a Vivit member. Emphasis was placed on the significant value of belonging to Vivit explaining members have an added stream of information available to them (as this meeting clearly demonstrated). Not only do members receive additional insight into the solutions but they also have opportunity to share their input and questions about the Micro Focus solutions.

Doug, John and Bob provided a very interactive presentation covering the Micro Focus 2019 ADM Roadmap. The focus was to share with the attendees Micro Focus’ directional intention at this point in time in a constantly evolving IT landscape. Portfolio & Lifecycle Management, Intelligent Test Automation, StormRunner Functional & Mobile Center, Service Virtualization, and Optimized Performance were just a few topics addressed and to say the roadmap is exceptionally interesting and exciting is an understatement! The discussion and questions at the end of the presentation were outstanding!

Brian Odgers, Manager of QA Automation & Vendor Service at FCCI Insurance Group, gave his enthusiastic input on the meeting and wrote ”It was a very informative meeting! It was obvious Doug, John and Bob, are experienced Micro Focus experts and they did a great job providing an overview of the solutions and product road map. Equally, the LUG provided an opportunity for me to interact with other users in the Tampa Bay area. Excellent!”
