VERTICA SIG

Dina Love, Senior Technical Instructor, HPE Vertica, became a Vivit Special Interest Group Leader because it provides an environment to network and connect with those individuals that share the same product interests.

"Vivit allows us to share information and expand professionally, and I wanted a platform to share ideas, knowledge and experience with colleagues, customers, partners and other like-minded individuals and learn from their knowledge and experience as well. The special interest group allows me to reach a global audience and have contact with those I might never have otherwise. It gives me the opportunity to help provide relevant content as well as help connect those who want to know more with the right contacts and solutions. I became the HPE Vertica SIG leader because I am passionate about the HPE Vertica product. As an instructor teaching HPE Vertica, I have knowledge I can contribute, and I have access to other Subject Matter Experts who can impart their expertise to our membership.My wish is to show those who are not yet using it to see why it is such a great product and help those who are to get the most out of it.”

Partnering with Dina is Akshar Dave who has more than 15 years of data analytics and data science experience and a track record of delivering innovation with a strong customer focus. He leads SoftNet Solutions’ Vertica Practice and is obsessed with disruptive technologies like Vertica. He is known for his ability to lead creative analytics solutions that bridge business and development teams. He is a master of using open source technologies to generate value from Big Data.

"I would like to see us bring together experts and visionaries from the Vertica team and the industry in: data infrastructure, data engineering, and data science and to explore applications that leverage Vertica in areas such as advertising, marketing, eCommerce, gaming, security, etc, especially as it relates to MPP database. Our goal is to make it easier than ever for you to collaborate with others and share your knowledge around Vertica.”
