How do I plan a Chapter/SIG meeting?

The first step is to find a host or meeting place, Then, set a date, pick a topic(s) and find speaker(s). A step-by-step process of how to set up a face-to-face meeting or a webinar can be found in the Chapter Leader Group under the Chapter/SIG Leader Meeting/Webinar Materials, shown below. Two of Vivit’s leaders, Mark Herbert and Scott Anderson, have given a very insightful and helpful webinar, "Leader Training, 4-24-13”, on this very topic. It can be located in Leader Training, shown below.

A chapter or local SIG meeting can be held in a number of different ways. It could be a roundtable or several roundtables, a happy hour, a breakfast, lunch or dinner meeting, a half- or full-day event with many speakers, or a three-day event. The sky is the limit! A webinar represents a virtual option for running these meetings.

A Vivit event can be centered around one topic, might have several topics in different sessions, or consist of many breakout sessions. To find a speaker, look to your chapter members as they are your best resources. HP Marketing is happy to help as are HP Partners. The Chapter Leader group has a dedicated Speaker’s Bureau database for you to search for speakers as well, shown below.
