Vivit Board of Directors Election

We need your help to promote the Vivit Board of Directors Election.  If you have not already done so, please vote.  Additionally, please encourage your Chapter/SIG members to Vote in the Board Elections over the weekends (Fri – Mon) and use the text below for an email to your Chapter/SIG members.

Text:
Elections are now open for the selection of three directors for a three-year term and one director for a one-year term on the Vivit Board of Directors.  Eligible voters are defined as all active members whose membership has not expired as of May 3, 2013 and who are not employed by HP.  Elections will run until Friday, May 22nd, 2013, but we urge you to vote now.

All candidates appearing on the ballot have indicated that they are willing to volunteer their time and talents to the betterment of our organization and its members by serving on its board of directors.  Board members serve the organization by providing strategic guidance and direction and by overseeing the organization’s operations.  Each candidate appearing on the ballot has been painstakingly reviewed by the nominating committee.

During the review process, this year’s candidates were required to complete and return a questionnaire.  To help our voters make an informed decision, we have provided each candidate’s responses to the questionnaire.  I highly recommend that you review each candidate’s responses before voting.  Voting only takes a few minutes, but is very important to the organization in that it allows you to have a voice in the selection of our leaders.  Finally, it is important that all eligible voters participate in the election because a 10% quorum is required.

This year’s candidates are as follows:

David Broerman           http://www.vivit-worldwide.org/resource/resmgr/Docs/David_Broerman_QA.pdf

Three Ways to Message Your Chapter/SIG Members
There are three-ways to message you Chapter/SIG members. As shown below from the "Group Admin Options  menu, they are:
1.     Message Group
2.     Email All Group Members
3.     Export Group Members, copy and paste email addresses to Outlook

Each method has its advantages.

1.  Message Group – This type of communication uses WYSIWYG editor and you can attach files.  Your Chapter/SIG members will receive an email with a link that takes them to your message on the Vivit website.

Your message will look like the example below.

2.  Email All Group Members – This is an email in text only format that each chapter/SIG member will receive as an email.

3.   Export Group Members – This is a list of your Chapter/SIG members that can be exported as a CSV file that includes their email address which you can cut and paste in the BC field of an email in Outlook.  The advantage to this is that if you have a large file or multiple files to send with a note, then this a good method.
